What are NOW & COMP?

The NOW (New Options Waiver) and COMP (Comprehensive Supports Waiver) are Georgia Medicaid programs that provide home- and community-based services for individuals with IDD.

  • NOW Waiver: Designed for individuals who need less intensive support and want to live more independently.
  • COMP Waiver: For individuals who require a higher level of care and comprehensive support to live safely in the community.

Both programs offer a wide range of services beyond daily care—covering skills development, employment support, and community integration.

Services Covered Under NOW/COMP

Through Caresify Georgia, participants may qualify for:

  • Personal Support Services (PSS): Daily living assistance such as bathing, dressing, meals, and mobility.
  • Community Access Services: Activities to build social skills, independence, and integration into the community.
  • Respite Care: Relief for family caregivers.
  • Supported Employment: Job coaching and skills training to help participants enter or stay in the workforce.
  • Residential Services: Support for individuals living in shared or group settings.

Who is Eligible?

To qualify for NOW/COMP in Georgia, individuals must:
