For Caregivers
Do caregivers have to sign a confidentiality agreement?
Yes. To protect client privacy, all caregivers sign a confidentiality and non-disclosure agreement (NDA). This is especially important for our Caresify Concierge Care clients, who value discreet and professional service.
Is there room for growth at Caresify?
Yes. Many caregivers grow into roles such as team lead, scheduler, or care manager. We believe in rewarding dedication and providing opportunities for advancement.
What happens if I can’t make a shift?
We understand emergencies happen. If you are unable to make a shift, you must call our office directly. Our phone lines are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week — daytime or nighttime — and a member of our team will always be available to assist you. Please do not send a text message to call out; you must speak with someone on the scheduling team so we can arrange proper coverage and ensure no disruption in client care.
How does scheduling work?
We use an easy-to-use scheduling system that lets you clock in and out, view open shifts, and receive notifications. Our office team is also available by phone if you need help.
What makes working with Caresify different from other agencies?
At Caresify, we prioritize caregiver respect and support. Many caregivers tell us they’ve left other agencies due to missed paychecks, lack of recognition, or poor communication. We built Caresify to be different—offering weekly pay, full benefits, ongoing support, and a culture of dignity and respect.
Will I be matched with one client or several?
It depends on the client’s care plan and your schedule. Some caregivers work consistently with one client (live-in or long-term), while others may be scheduled with multiple clients weekly.
Do I need a car?
Having reliable transportation is strongly preferred, especially if you’ll be assisting clients with errands or appointments. In some cases, caregivers may work with clients who do not require transportation support.
How flexible is the schedule?
We offer full-time, part-time, live-in, and per diem shifts. You can set your availability, and we’ll match you with clients based on your preferred schedule and location.
Do you offer training?
Yes. All caregivers receive onboarding training plus ongoing professional development. For those working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities (IDD), we provide 12+ hours of yearly specialized training.
What benefits does Caresify offer caregivers?
We provide one of the most competitive benefits packages in home care, which may include:

Do you offer fall prevention or care after a fall?
Yes. Falls are one of the biggest risks for seniors at home. Our SAFE Step Program focuses on fall prevention by creating a safer home environment, assisting with mobility, and providing strength and balance support. If your loved one has already experienced a fall, we provide post-fall care, monitoring, and coordination with healthcare providers to lower the chances of another incident.
Can you help after a hospital or rehab discharge to prevent readmission?
Absolutely. Caresify offers post-hospital and post-rehab care programs designed to reduce the risk of readmission. We help with medication management, follow-up appointments, diet and hydration support, mobility assistance, and daily care needs. Our team works closely with your discharge instructions to ensure a smooth and safe transition back home.
Do you provide care for someone after a stroke?
Yes. Recovering from a stroke often requires extra support at home. Our caregivers can help with mobility assistance, personal care, medication reminders, meal preparation, and daily exercises recommended by your therapy team. We also provide safety monitoring to reduce the risk of falls or complications, and emotional support to encourage recovery and independence.
Do you provide specialized care for clients with dementia or Alzheimer’s?
Yes. At Caresify, we understand the unique challenges of memory loss. Our caregivers are trained in dementia and Alzheimer’s care, including techniques for communication, safety, and daily routines. We focus on creating a calm and structured environment that helps reduce anxiety, prevent wandering, and maintain dignity. Care plans are personalized, and our team works closely with families to adapt as the condition progresses.
Are caregivers employees or independent contractors?
All Caresify caregivers are employees of our agency. This means we handle payroll, taxes, training, insurance, and compliance so families can focus on care—not administration.
Who supervises the caregivers?
Each caregiver is supported by a Care Manager who provides oversight, guidance, and routine check-ins. We also encourage family communication, so you are always kept informed of your loved one’s care.
How do you ensure client safety and privacy?
We use secure communication systems, caregiver NDAs, and strict confidentiality policies. All caregivers are trained in infection control, fall prevention, and safety monitoring. We also conduct regular supervisory visits to ensure quality of care.
Does Medicare or Medicaid cover your services?
- Medicare covers skilled home health care for patients who are homebound and need acute or intermittent clinical care. Some Medicare Advantage (Part C) plans may also include coverage for non-medical home care.
- Medicaid can cover non-medical home care, either in full or with a small co-pay depending on the state. In some cases, Medicaid and Medicare may work together to provide coverage.
- Other options include long-term care insurance, certain life insurance policies, and Veterans’ benefits.
- Families may also choose to pay privately out-of-pocket for home care services.
How much does home care cost, and do you accept insurance?
Costs vary depending on the level of care, hours needed, and location. We accept private pay, long-term care insurance, Veterans benefits, and in some states, Medicaid waivers. During your consultation, we’ll provide a clear breakdown of costs and payment options.
How do I afford home care, and what payment options are available?
There are several ways families can cover the cost of care, depending on eligibility:
- Long-Term Care Insurance – Many policies cover non-medical home care.
- Veterans Benefits (Aid & Attendance Program) – Veterans and their spouses may qualify for in-home care coverage.
- Medicaid Waivers – In certain states, Medicaid helps pay for personal care at home.
- State & Community Programs – Some local agencies and nonprofits offer financial support for seniors.
If none of these apply, private pay (out-of-pocket) is also available. During your consultation, our care team will walk you through all options and help identify benefits you or your loved one may qualify for.
How soon can services begin?
In most cases, we can start care within 24–48 hours after your initial consultation. Same-day care may be available depending on caregiver availability and client needs.
Do you provide 24-hour or live-in care?
Yes. We provide hourly, overnight, live-in, and 24/7 care options, depending on your needs. Our Concierge Care program also supports families who require a higher level of attention and privacy.
What happens if a caregiver can’t make a shift?
We have an on-call scheduling team available 24/7 to provide coverage. If your caregiver is unavailable, we’ll promptly arrange a qualified substitute so there are no gaps in care.
Can I choose or meet my caregiver before services start?
Yes. Under certain Medicaid waiver programs in states such as Pennsylvania, you may nominate a family member for us to hire as your paid caregiver. This option is often available when the family member has already been providing unpaid care. However, your paid caregiver of choice cannot be your spouse, power of attorney (POA), legal guardian, or representative payee.
If you do not nominate a family member, or if program rules restrict your choice, we will assign an agency caregiver who is matched to your care needs and preferences. In all cases, you will have the opportunity to meet your caregiver—either in person or virtually—before services begin, ensuring compliance with program requirements while promoting comfort and continuity of care.
How do you match caregivers with clients?
We look at skills, experience, language, personality, and client preferences to ensure the best fit. If at any point you feel a caregiver isn’t the right match, we will work quickly to provide a replacement.
Is Caresify licensed?
Yes. Caresify is a state-licensed home care provider. We comply with all regulations in every state we serve and follow strict quality and safety standards.
Are your caregivers certified, trained, and insured?
How do I know what type of care is right for my loved one?
A Care Manager will meet with you for a free in-home or virtual consultation. Together, we’ll review your loved one’s needs, preferences, and daily routines. From there, we create a flexible care plan that can be adjusted at any time as needs change.
What services do you provide?
We provide personalized non-medical home care services including companionship, help with daily activities, dementia support, post-hospital recovery, fall-prevention programs, and Caresify Concierge Care for clients who prefer premium, discreet support. Every plan is tailored to meet the unique needs of each client and family.
